Kelvin Scribner is a pioneering force and dynamic personality in the aviation industry. He graduated from MIT with a Masters and Bachelors in Aeronautical and Astronautical engineer. His flying career started with army helicopters, flying CH-47 Chinooks, then moving to Combat Search and Rescue flying HH-60G Pavehawk helocopters. Kelvin finished his career in the Air Force Reserve flying KC-135R air refueling tankers and now enjoys flying the company Cirrus SR-22. He has spent the last 20 years designing, building and manufacturing revolutionary products for the manned and unmanned aviation marketplace. He is the founder and president of Sagetech Corporation.
Kelvin's achievements include:
• Creator of the autopilot and avionics module for Boeing/Insitu’s ScanEagle.
• Designed the worlds smallest 135 gram Mode C Transponder for ScanEagle, then an even smaller 100 gram
XP Mode S Transponder.
• Led multiple unmanned aviation research projects for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA).
• Sagetech has been distingushed with the award of the Harris/ Aireon ADS-B payload contract for Iridium’s
second-generation satellite constellation, Iridium NEXTGEN.

2012 Speaking Engagements
Columbia Aviation Association
Nov. 29th, 2012 - Speaker Event / Aurora, Oregon
Kelvin Scribner discussed Sagetech Corporation's new Clarity ADS-B receiver, UAV Transponder and their product roadmap.
AUVSI - Cascade Chapter
Sept. 27th, 2012 - Fall Unmanned Symposium / Bend, Oregon
Mr. Scribner's presentation focused on a flight demonstration of ADS-B technology where an unmanned aircraft will be flown with an integrated Sagetech transponder that will deconflict with a manned aircraft carrying the same equipment. This demonstration will be the first of its kind showing a possible solution to integrated airspace operations.
Joint Manned, Unmanned Aircraft Operations using COTS NextGen ADS-B Tracking - Watch Video
Oct. 24th 2012
Mr. Scribner narrated the demonstration video and explained the use of the “NextGen” Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) system to facilitate joint operations between unmanned and manned aircraft by providing operators and pilots in-flight tracking of all participating aircraft.
